The leadership of Indivisible Springfield Ohio stands with Steve Scalise, the majority whip of the House of Representatives, and the other victims of today’s senseless shooting in Alexandria, Va. We offer our heartfelt hopes and prayers to him and to all the victims and their families. We believe violence is never the answer to political differences, and it has absolutely no place in our society. The poisonous political environment in America has caused far too many tragedies like the one we have seen today, on both sides of the political aisle. We call on all Americans to come together to close this divide and work together to restore a sense of common purpose for our nation, our leaders and our citizens.
